For the juicy pork bun lovers (Anouk, Helen, they taste just like M's!!!), mastered them! DO try this at home:
Veggie or pork buns
Ingredients (for 6)
125g wheat flour
2g baking powder
2g yeast
8g sugar
4g salt
60g vegetables in season
20g shitake and bean curd
60g minced pork
65g water
Pinch of pepper and sesame oil
Tsp soy sauce
Bit of ginger
Cooking wine
Filling veggie buns
Chop the shitake and bean curd. Stir fry with oil and set aside.
Mix the shitake, bean curd and vegetables. Add 2g salt, 4g sugar and pinch of pepper and sesame oil. Mix well and set aside.
Filling pork buns
Add 2g of salt, 4g of sugar and some cooking wine, pepper powder, one tsp of soy sauce, ginger to the pork and mix well till the filling feels sticky. Add water gradually. Mix well again, set aside.
Dough
Make the dough with flour, baking powder, yeast, sugar and water. Roll the dough. Divide into 6 pieces. Make the wrapper and fill with the filling. Close (TRICKY PART!!). Wait for it to rise and steam 10 minutes.
